May 2, 2025 Recognition and Celebration Meeting
May 2, 2025 was MSSE’s annual end of year recognition & celebration meeting. This year’s theme was Glow Bingo.
We celebrated an upcoming retirement. Meg Marquardt, School Psychologist, is retiring after 33 years of service with Mid-State Special Education. We wish her all the best in her retirement!
We also honored years of service awards. Emma Reichert Campbell was honored for her 15 years working for MSSE, Laura Snyder was honored for her 25 years working for MSSE, and Rick Cina was honored for his 30 years working for MSSE. We want to thank these employees for their dedication to our organization!
Megan Harley and Amy Knodle were also honored as the Making a Difference award recipients. Amy was honored by her teammates for being a positive role model to her colleagues and others. Megan was honored for obtaining her LCSW and for receiving the 2025 “Those Who Excel” award from ISBE.
Staff enjoyed some fun while playing Glow Bingo. It is not very often these colleagues get to spend time together and although the time was short, it was full of laughter!
Lastly, we ended the day by Dr. Dawn Bridges providing some professional development for the staff. Her topic was “Purpose, Passion, Possibilities: Meeting the Needs of ALL Students”. Her message was inspiring and it gave staff the boost of energy to make it through the end of the school year!
